King Rick’s brave new world

Aldous Huxley’s book was about a future society where drugs and social engineering would make everyone happy and everything hunky dory. Well, however much that world might resemble ours, we don’t live in a brave new world.

We live in an old cowardly world.

We’re afraid of everything from germs to Mexicans to the sun itself. That’s no way to live. I mean, what’s the point if you are always afraid?

As your King in ’28, I promise to make you feel less afraid and more hopeful. I will appeal to your better angels like Shakespeare and Lincoln and others. I know they’re there. Always were, always will be.

How do I know this? Glad you asked.

From Rufus, the professional time traveler from a future utopian society in the year 2688, a society founded on the philosophical and musical teachings of Bill S. Preston and Ted "Theodore" Logan.

You may know them better as Bill and Ted from their excellent adventures.

Bill and Ted went back in time to gather historical figures for their high school history report, which was on the verge of failing them and threatening their future.

Kind of like us.

Don’t be afraid. Finish your history report. And vote Rick for King ’28.

Paid for by no one. No corruption. Not a robot.
