KING RICK SUPPORTS LONE RANGER

The King (no, not Elvis) congratulates Louisville for hiring the Lone Ranger to patrol our parks and fight outlaws like he did in the Old West. Remember his moral code: “I believe that to have a friend, a man must be one. That all men are created equal and that everyone has within himself
the power to make this a better world.”

The Lone Ranger also believed that “a man should make the most
of what equipment he has.” But sadly, where is his horse, Silver? The Mayor really should consider getting him one--a white horse named Silver. And where is his faithful Indian companion, Tonto?

The King (no, not B.B.) suggests that when our Lone Ranger hires rangers, he should start with a Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels Tribute Band. And how can the rangers not include Gus, Call, and Jake Spoon? And how about Roger’s Rangers from the French and Indian Wars?

The King (no, not Carol, Larry, or Stephen) does insist on this heretical change, however: no masks.

Except on The Lone Ranger Logo.

Also hugely important: The Lone Ranger should always announce himself not with a siren, but the “William Tell Overture” and the words, “Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear! From out of the past come the thundering hoofbeats of the great horse Silver! The Lone Ranger rides again!”

And when he finishes ticketing some outlaws, the Lone Ranger should always leave them with, "Hi-yo, Silver! Away!"
